Hi. I'm Christine

A qualified, professional, intuitive counsellor and clinical supervisor.

At the heart of my approach is the belief that you are the expert on your own life. You understand your situation better than anyone else, including me. Because of this, I don’t see my role as someone who fixes things or tells you what to do. Instead, I’m here to listen deeply, understand what’s really going on for you, and offer the support that’s most helpful to you.

I believe the key to effective therapy is the relationship between you and your therapist. I work toward creating an effective relationship by offering a relaxed, trusting, safe space, working with an exploratory style. I offer honesty, challenges, empathy & a non judgmental attitude.

My aim is to develop an authentic & genuine relationship that supports me to work to the best of my ability to support you.

Our first session offers an opportunity to explore what you'd like to gain from therapy and to see whether I’m the right person to support you.

Why I chose counselling

How I came to be a counsellor

I currently work full time as a therapist for the NHS. I have worked in this field for 10 years. I am now (2025), branching out to 
offer private therapy. 

My interest in counselling developed after initially pursuing careers in psychology and social work. Through various supporting and voluntary roles, I discovered that neither of these paths were in line with my values. I stumbled across counselling as a method of supporting people to discover for themselves what they needed and how to move toward it, allowing individuals to connect with their inner resources and discover what’s right for them.

I continue to develop professionally in my role as a counsellor, and I genuinely love 
being able to support others in this way.

My approach to therapy

How I work

Primarily a talking therapy, counselling can be approached through exploring your situation through a variety of styles. As an example these include: talking through exploration, using creative methods i.e. sand tray; imagery; explicit images; somatic-
emotion focused therapy...and more!

I offer generic counselling for all subject areas although specifically trained in 
depression, mindfulness and sound therapy.

With the optional addition of mindfulness & sound therapy, together we can find a suitable approach that works the best for you.
